New "Intifada" Has Limited Appeal among Palestinians

(Times of Israel) Avi Issacharoff - At the moment, the Palestinian public is not thrilled by the current "intifada." The large refugee camps (Jenin, Deheishe, Askar, Balata), which drove the first and second intifadas, are refusing to join the third. They generally view the latest violence as a passing event, destined to fail, which is not really connected to them. In the eyes of many of the camps' residents, the events of the past three months belong to the urban Palestinians, the "Facebook children."
