The life sciences industry combines medicine with very advanced technology. Israel has world-leading expertise in many different areas, including big data, electronics, medicine, imaging and software. The largest life science sectors in Israel are medical devices and healthcare IT technologies. Israeli scientists and engineers have developed world-class innovations in digital imaging, medical lasers, telemedicine, early diagnostics and smart surgical equipment.
