Israeli Biogas Digesters Energize Isolated Palestinian Village

(Reuters) Ori Lewis and Elana Ringler - Palestinians living in off-grid villages in the West Bank have begun using Israeli-made HomeBioGas generators that supply free, clean methane gas for cooking and lighting from food leftovers and manure. Around 40 digesters have been set up in a pilot project at the Palestinian village of al-Awja in the Jordan Valley, funded by the EU and the Peres Center for Peace.
