(Times of Israel) Fiamma Nirenstein, a former Italian lawmaker and journalist, was appointed Monday as Israel's ambassador to Italy. Nirenstein was elected to the Italian parliament in 2008 and served as deputy chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs. She immigrated to Israel in 2013.
