(New York Times) David S. Joachim - The State Department said Friday that Martin S. Indyk had resigned from his position as special Middle East envoy. Indyk's resignation was the latest sign that the Obama administration's hopes for the peace process have faded, though the State Department said he would continue to advise Secretary of State Kerry after returning to the Brookings Institution as its foreign policy director.
