(Boston Globe) Erin Ailworth - At least 200 businesses in Massachusetts with ties to Israel employ 6,700 people and generated $6.2 billion in revenues in 2012, according to a new study for the New England-Israel Business Council released Thursday. A previous study found 78 companies generating $2.4 billion in revenues in 2009. Businesses in the report - involving information technology, medical device, and software firms - include those founded in Israel with offices or headquarters in Massachusetts, Israeli firms acquired by Massachusetts companies, and local companies founded by Israelis or based on Israeli intellectual property.
