(Israel21c) Karin Kloosterman - BrightSource, a U.S.-based solar power company whose roots began in Israel 30 years ago with the firm Luz, is about to flip the switch on a massive 377-megawatt solar thermal farm in the California desert. At the start of 2014, BrightSource will begin building a solar thermal energy plant in Israel that will produce 121 megawatts in the Negev Desert by 2016.
