(JTA) The leader of Turkey's new ruling party met with American Jewish leaders in Washington on Tuesday and expressed support for stronger ties with Israel. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, leader of the Islamist-based Justice and Development Party, said he hoped to see expanded economic relations and trade between the two countries.
