New Prayer Plaza at Western Wall in Jerusalem

(New York Times) Jodi Rudoren - Israeli officials last month unveiled a new plaza at the Western Wall in Jerusalem where men and women can pray together. The 4,800-square-foot platform in an archaeological park is a "compromise" whose "goal is to unify all the walks of Jewish life," said Naftali Bennett, Israel's minister for Jerusalem and diaspora affairs. Leaders of the Conservative and Reform movements of Judaism offered cautious praise.
