Top Al Qaeda Leader Visits Baghdad

(AP/Washington Post) John J. Lumpkin - A senior al Qaeda operative, accused of organizing a foiled attack on an American tourist spot in Jordan, was in Baghdad about two months ago, a U.S. defense official said. Abu Musab Zarqawi, a Jordanian, is believed to have left Iraq. U.S. counterterrorism officials have described Zarqawi as among al Qaeda's top two dozen leaders.
