(Ha'aretz) - Major General Amos Gilad, Coordinator of IDF Activities in the Territories, is in Washington this week for meetings with U.S. officials. Gilad is expected to report that the recent period of calm is due not to PA Chairman Yasser Arafat, but to steps taken by Israel.
