(Sacramento Bee) - Rabbi Brad Bloom of the Reform Temple B'nai Israel has heard many Jews privately express reservations over Israeli policy but, Bloom said, "This is a war" - Jews must put aside their personal views in the name of patriotism. Rabbi Josef Etz-Hasadeh of the Orthodox Kenesset Israel Torah Center also feels when Israel's survival is at stake, "It's not the time for internal argument - it's time to work together against a common enemy." At a fund-raiser this summer, local Jews contributed more than $100,000 for Israel to put bulletproof glass on school buses and fences around elementary schools.
