(Times of Israel) Gavriel Fiske - Regional Development Minister Silvan Shalom said the new EU directive underlined "how disconnected" Europe has become from the realities of the Middle East and that its policies proved Europe could not play an effective role in Israeli-Palestinian diplomacy. Officials questioned whether implementation of the EU directive would prove near-impossible, and ultimately have little effect on the ground.
