(IMRA) A poll carried out by the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion, as published in Al Hayyat Al Jadeedah on 20 November 2003, included the following question: There are barely any women active in Palestinian politics because: Woman's place is in the home - 38.8%, Not talented enough - 14.1%, Prohibited by religious law - 8.1%, If women were in politics it would hurt the status of men - 7.6%, Other - 31.4%.
