Israel Warned Bush: Nuclear Iran Closer than Expected

(Washington Post) Jim Hoagland - Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon warned President Bush that Iran is much closer to producing nuclear weapons than U.S. intelligence believes. U.S. intelligence estimates put Iran's covert nuclear weapons drive about four years short of being able to turn plutonium into a workable nuclear warhead. Sharon's projected timeline is one to two years.
