(BBC News) Ania Lichtarowicz - The journal Nature reports how Jeffrey Gordon and colleagues from Ben-Gurion University in Israel transported sunlight into the operating theater from outside through a system of optical fibers to provide what could some day be a low-cost alternative to conventional laser surgery to remove tumors. Solar surgery also appears to be safer for the surgeons to use.
