(Jerusalem Post) - Herb Keinon Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas refused to meet Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi on Monday because Berlusconi refused to meet Yasser Arafat. Berlusconi is widely considered the European leader closest to Sharon. Last month Abbas refused to meet Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy for the same reason.
