(Ha'aretz) Amos Harel and Aluf Benn - Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz announced his resignation Tuesday against a backdrop of investigations into the war against Hizbullah last summer. The deputy chief of staff, Moshe Kaplinsky, will act as interim head of the armed forces.
