(Jerusalem Post) Dr. Ron Schleiffer, a lecturer on psychological warfare at Bar-Ilan University, said it is time to embark on a new strategy combining psychological warfare and action on the ground. After the IDF destroys the homes of terrorists, "The following day they begin to rebuild, sometimes a better home then what they had before." The only true deterrent is to prevent rebuilding. The Palestinians must be made to fear Israel's presence, and must realize that their leadership is leading them, as pawns, away from their own best interests, he said. Confiscating land "is something they will fear and it will serve as a serious deterrent," he said.
