State Department Halts Award for Egyptian Accused of Anti-Semitic Remarks

(Washington Times) Guy Taylor - The Obama administration reversed course Thursday and said it no longer would give a prestigious international women's award to Egyptian political activist Samira Ibrahim after she was accused of posting anti-Semitic and pro-terrorist comments on Twitter. Hours after a terrorist attack in Bulgaria in July killed five Israeli tourists, Ibrahim said: "Today is a very sweet day with a lot of very sweet news," the Weekly Standard reported.
