(Israel Defense) Amir Rapaport - Western sources have revealed that Egypt has prevented three instances of large-scale smuggling of weapons into Gaza (two from Libya and one from Iran through Sudan) since the end of Operation Pillar of Defense in November, as part of Egyptian-U.S. coordination agreed upon in discussions involving Secretary of State Hillary Clinton two days before the end of the operation. The agreement includes intelligence cooperation and U.S. technological measures being made available for Egyptian use in order to counter the smuggling of weapons.
