(Ha'aretz)Nir Hasson - The harsh wintry conditions Monday throughout most of Israel halted the spread of locusts in the south, and the remaining swarms in the area were either destroyed or disappeared. The air force reported a large 10-kilometer-long swarm approaching Israel from Sinai, but experts said it was likely the harsh weather conditions in the country kept the swarm out.
