U.S. Charities Found Liable in Hamas Case

(JTA) On Wednesday, Judge Arlander Keys held the Texas-based Holy Land Foundation and the Islamic Association for Palestine liable for the May 13, 1996, shooting of David Boim, 17, as he waited for a bus in the West Bank. The charities were liable even if they had no direct involvement in the killing, the judge said, because they realized they were aiding an organization that used violence.
