$300m Motorola Israel Contract with U.S. Postal Service Approved

(Globes) Motorola Israel reported Monday that it would supply 300,000 mobile data collection devices to the U.S. Postal Service. The three-year contract is worth almost $300 million, including financing for Motorola Israel and setting up necessary infrastructure in the U.S. The devices will be used at most postal service points in the U.S. as a mobile scanner which can read advanced barcodes, making it possible to track mail at all delivery stages.
