[Reuters] The leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Ayyub al-Masri, was killed on Tuesday in an internal fight between insurgents north of Baghdad, Iraqi Brig.-Gen. Abdul Kareem Khalaf reported, adding that Iraqi and U.S. forces were not involved.
