(Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs) Israeli Ambassador to the UN Ron Prosor wrote to the president of the Security Council on Nov. 5 to protest the presence of Syrian tanks in an area prohibited to Syrian security forces under the 1974 Separation of Forces agreement between Israel and Syria. Israel called on the Security Council to address this "alarming development."
