(Albawaba-Jordan) Mauritania has appealed for help from Israel in fighting a locust epidemic. The appeal for experts in disease control was made via Israeli MP Ayub Kara, a member of the Druze minority in Israel, who was visiting Mauritania for a seminar of parliamentarians sponsored by NATO. Mauritania is the only Arab country to have an ambassador currently serving in Israel.
