Israeli Diplomat Asked to Leave Forum in Cyprus

(Cyprus Mail) Elias Hazou - Israel's Ambassador to Cyprus Michael Harari, attending the 2nd Levant Energy Forum by special invitation at the University of Cyprus on June 26, was rather indecorously asked to leave after the Lebanese Energy Minister complained to organizers. "I decided to leave in order not to embarrass the President [of Cyprus]," Harari later told the Cyprus Mail. "The organizers should have handled it differently." Ironically, one of the forum's themes was the need for energy cooperation among the region's nations.
