(Ynet News) Yoav Zitun - Israel detonated some 700 anti-tank landmines along the Israel-Jordan border on Wednesday, bringing the number of cleared landmines to some 60,000. An additional 14,000 landmines are still to be removed. IDF troops are also clearing thousands of anti-personnel mines. The operation, which began seven years ago and is scheduled to be completed in the next 18 months, will see the cleared area converted into agricultural land.
