(Reuters) Ari Rabinovitch - Israel's national water company Mekorot signed a financing agreement to build a desalination plant in Ashdod to supplying 100 million cubic meters of water annually, the Finance Ministry said Tuesday. The new Ashdod plant will join four other desalination facilities that will provide, by the end of 2013, 85% of the country's household water consumption.
