(MEMRI) Since the August 2011 appointment of former Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) official Rustom Qasami to the post of Iranian oil minister, the IRGC has been awarded two large tenders, one for building a $500 million pipeline and one for a research project on underground storage of crude petroleum. The IRGC is also expected to win another $500 million tender connected to the oil industry.
