Palestinian Gunmen Storm Jail, Free Suspects in Attack on U.S. Diplomats

(Jerusalem Post) Khaled Abu Toameh - On Wednesday night, several masked gunmen stormed the PA's central prison in Gaza City and freed three out of four Palestinians being held on suspicion of involvement in the attack on a U.S. diplomatic convoy last October. The suspects were tried in a PA court last month but were acquitted and ordered released; however, the PA refused to carry out the court order and continued to hold them in prison. The raid on the prison is seen as a major blow to the PA security forces in Gaza.
