(Jerusalem Post) Khaled Abu Toameh - Hamas officials in Gaza announced Sunday that they have elected a successor to Abdel Aziz Rantisi, but declined to reveal his identity for "security considerations." However, various sources in Gaza identified the new leader as Mahmoud Zahar, a veteran Hamas official.
