Obama's Mideast Envoy Dennis Ross to Resign

(New York Times) Mark Landler - Dennis B. Ross, 62, a seasoned diplomat who has been one of President Obama's advisers on Iran and the Middle East, announced Thursday that he would leave the White House. His resignation, six months after that of special envoy George J. Mitchell, symbolizes how much the Middle East peace process has faded. Ross's departure, effective in December, is not a result of disputes over policy, several officials said.
