(CNN) Richard Roth - France and Britain plan to abstain from a Security Council vote on the Palestinians' bid for statehood, two UN diplomats said Thursday. The UN Security Council is set to meet Nov. 11 to discuss whether or not to admit a Palestinian state as a UN member. The U.S. has warned it will veto the attempt. However, a veto may not be necessary if 9 nations - out of 15 on the council - don't support the Palestinians' bid.
