Israel Sends Condolences, Forensic Team to Spain

(Ha'aretz) Aluf Benn - Prime Minister Sharon expressed his "deep outrage over the horrific terrorist attack" in Spain. Foreign Minister Shalom wrote to Spanish Foreign Minister Ana Palacio, conveying "the solidarity of the people of Israel with Spain at this very difficult time." The Spanish ambassador to Israel, Eudalao Mirapeix Martinez, asked the Israel Health Ministry to send a team of forensic experts to Madrid, to help authorities identify the bodies of people killed in the attacks. A three-member team from the National Institute for Forensic Medicine at Abu Kabir - all native Spanish-speakers - is to leave for Spain on Friday.
