UK Company in Syria Slashes Oil Production by 75 Percent as Sanctions Block Exports

(UPI) Oil production in Syria by Gulfsands Petroleum is down nearly 20,000 barrels per day after it was ordered by the Syrian Oil Ministry in September to reduce production because of the reduced availability of crude storage capacity in the country. Other companies such as Royal Dutch Shell and France's Total were ordered to cut back on production as well.
