Setting Egypt on Fire

(Asharq Al-Awsat-UK) Tariq Alhomayed - What the Egyptians seem to have forgotten is that the storming of the Israeli embassy in Cairo, after the Egyptian revolution, is reminiscent of the occupation of the U.S. embassy in Tehran after the Iranian revolution, so is this the future of Egypt? Is a confrontation with Israel the key to solving Egypt's internal problems? Was the Egyptian revolution originally undertaken to overthrow a peace agreement with Israel? Thus, the problem with regard to what is happening in Egypt is the notable absence of rationality and a failure to prioritize the interests of the state, alongside the remarkable absence of rational voices from political leaders, who are yet to speak clearly to alert everyone of the necessity not to drag Egypt into chaos. The fact is that Egypt's problems are purely internal.
