(Calcalist-Ynet News) Lior Gutman - The National Council for Planning and Construction has approved a plan for an offshore gas storage tank 10 km. off the coast of Hadera that will serve as a national emergency reserve in the event of a sudden shortage such as in the case of the suspended supply of gas from Egypt. It will also enable tankers carrying liquid gas to hook up to the tank and discharge their cargo.
