Reconstruction Proceeds Slowly in Southern Lebanon

[Daily Star-Lebanon] Rym Ghazal - A trip through Beirut's southern suburbs, and towns and villages in the South and the eastern Bekaa Valley reveals hundreds of battered homes and crumbling buildings still standing as they were a year ago. The mountains of debris have been cleared, and a few homes have been rebuilt with the help of international, Iranian and Arab aid, but still a vast majority of homes remain scarred and untouched.
