(Archeologists for Human Rights) The number of missing persons in Iraq comes to 1.3 million. Most of them will be found in mass graves: the deported men of the Barzani tribe (1983), victims of the Iran-Iraq war (1980-88), the victims of the "Anfal" campaign (1987-89), tens of thousands of Shias after 1991, Turkmens, Assyrian Christians, Marsh Arabs, political prisoners, and prisoners of war.
