IDF: No Point Working with Abbas Until He Acts Against Islamic Jihad

(Ha'aretz) Roni Singer - After the bombing in Netanya and the explosion of the booby-trapped car in the West Bank, senior IDF officers blasted Palestinian leader Abbas, claiming that he was letting the Islamic Jihad "spit in his face" and that his failure to act against the organization was "foolish and dangerous." "The world let Abbas evade the necessary steps after the Stage Club suicide bombing [in February]. He must not repeat that error. There is no point in working with him until he starts acting against the Jihad," one source said.
