Jury Seated in Trial of Florida Professor Accused of Aiding Islamic Jihad

(Reuters) A federal jury was picked on Thursday for the trial of a former Florida professor accused of helping the Palestinian group Islamic Jihad carry out deadly attacks in Israel. Sami al-Arian, a former computer sciences professor at the University of South Florida, was arrested in February 2003 along with three others, accused of raising money and providing support for Islamic Jihad, which the U.S. lists as a terrorist organization responsible for the deaths of more than 100 people in Israel, including two Americans.
