(UPI/Washington Times) Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas revealed Sunday he had a long telephone conversation Thursday with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Abbas said he and Sharon agreed to meet before Abbas travels to the U.S. in mid-May to meet with President Bush.
