Mohammed Yaghi - Hamas has never wavered from its single goal of replacing Israel with an Islamist Palestinian state. For tactical and theological reasons, it may offer a conditional, temporary armed truce with Israel, but it will not recognize Israel nor cease to regard itself as a movement at war with a foreign invader.
