Wanted Hamas Military Commander Returns to Gaza

(Jerusalem Post) Khaled Abu Toameh - Bashir Hammad, a founder of Hamas's armed wing, Izzaddin al- Kassam, returned to Gaza on Sunday through the Rafah border crossing, Palestinian security sources said. Hammad had been wanted by Israel since 1988 and had fled the Gaza Strip in 1992. At least 45 Hamas and Fatah fugitives have returned to Gaza since the Rafah border crossing was handed over to the PA four months ago.
