Israel a New Target for Shale Gas Exploration

(Petroleum Economist) Exploration for on-shore shale-gas deposits in Israel is underway. Canada's Adira Energy is targeting the Hula Valley, in the north of the country. The company says its assessment should be finished by year-end, when it will start drilling three wells. Drilling near the head of the Jordan River would take three to four months, with coal deposits also a possible resource.
