Israel Appoints New Head of Mossad

(Ha'aretz) Yossi Melman - Tamir Pardo, 57, was named Monday as the new chief of Israel's Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations, the Mossad. Pardo served twice as deputy Mossad chief and was part of the organization for nearly 30 years. He succeeds Meir Dagan who served as Mossad chief for eight years.
