(Telegraph-UK) Adrian Blomfield - Foreign Secretary William Hague on Thursday promised during a visit to Israel that Britain would introduce measures protecting visiting Israeli officials from arrest "within weeks." A British legal loophole allows pro-Palestinian activists to bring private prosecutions against visiting Israeli dignitaries. "We feel it's about time things should move in the right direction and think this is very welcome news," said Yigal Palmor, an Israel Foreign Ministry spokesman.
