New IDF Infantry Fighting Vehicle Designed in Israel, Built in America

(Strategy Page) Israel is having the U.S. firm General Dynamics manufacture 600 of the new Namer IFV (infantry fighting vehicle) over the next eight years. The first hundred were built in Israel, but the rest can be built more cheaply in the U.S. The Namer is based on the chassis of the Merkava tank and has thicker armor than the U.S. Stryker.
